About Me

I am currently a Masters Candidate at the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS) at the University of California, San Diego.

Originally from India, I hold a Bachelors in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai. I have consultancy experience for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects in South Asia.

At IR/PS, my focus areas of study are International Politics, China, East Asia, South Asian Security and Water Security in Asia.

I am trilingual and learning Mandarin and Korean. I enjoy reading books on military history and fantasy.

I was awarded two prizes through a school-wide voting contest in the Spring Quarter of 2010. They were,
  • Student most likely to become President (Best student in the Policy Making Processes (PMP) course) - This was the crowning moment of my school year! The sad part was that the certificate had an image of the White House in the background, since they were probably expecting an American student to win.
  • First Class King - This is awarded to the student who is always online on the school forum First Class. Thus indicating that I have little life outside of IR/PS at the moment!
